Sometimes, you may wish the maximum of the two speeds to be the
reference speed. The reason for this is to avoid errors in data caused by lock
ups under braking, and shock speeds over kerbs
This
reference speed is important for drawing track maps, and comparing data in the
Plot vs. Distance window.
Please refer
to the datasheet called Math Channels to see
how to create the maximum speed.
If you have
ticked the Use it as speed
reference (if inserted) check box when creating the
Max_Speed math channel you may get a flat line of
data when you view the Plot vs. Distance,
and all values in the measure window will be nonsense
DO NOT tick
this box
To make the
maximum speed your reference speed, you have to manually select it. From the
toolbar click
Modify -> Reference
Speed
In the test
you are interested in, double click on the name of the channel that you want as
your reference speed
This name
should appear in the box below the file name
Click on the
OK button
